In a devastating turn of events, the victim of a road traffic collision that occurred in Leeds last week has sadly passed away. The local police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information that may assist in their investigation.
The incident took place on Shadwell Lane, Moortown, at approximately 12:15 pm on Monday, 19th June, near the junction with High Moor Crescent. A blue Suzuki Ignis was travelling along Shadwell Lane, heading towards Harrogate Road, when it collided with a stationary and parked black Suzuki SX4 on the road. The impact caused the Ignis to roll over, ultimately coming to a halt on its side.
Tragically, the driver of the Ignis, a woman in her 70s, sustained severe injuries in the collision. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. However, despite the best efforts of medical professionals, she tragically succumbed to her injuries yesterday.
