West Yorkshire Police are urgently appealing for witnesses following a severe collision on Keighley Road, just north of Harden village, which resulted in a cyclist sustaining life-threatening injuries. The incident, involving a pedal cycle and a Suzuki Baleno car, occurred at approximately 9:25 a.m. yesterday morning, June 11th.

According to authorities, the Suzuki Baleno car was travelling towards St Ives when it collided with one of the two cyclists who were both heading in the same direction. Shockingly, the driver of the car failed to stop at the scene and call for assistance, leaving the injured cyclist behind.

The victim, a male in his 50s, suffered serious head injuries, a broken pelvis, and internal bleeding as a result of the collision. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals are currently fighting to save his life.

In light of this hit-and-run incident, West Yorkshire Police are now urging members of the public who may have witnessed the collision or were present in the area at the time to come forward with any information they might have. Additionally, authorities are particularly interested in obtaining dashcam footage of the vehicle involved in the incident.

The cyclist involved in the collision has sustained life-threatening injuries, and it is absolutely crucial that we locate the driver responsible for this incident.
