UPDATE : Katelan Coates has been found safe and well.

Calderdale Police has released a fresh CCTV image of missing teenager Katelan Coates, who was recently spotted in the Preston area. The police are making extensive efforts to locate the 14-year-old girl and are sharing a still from the CCTV footage captured in Preston city centre on Saturday, May 27.

The image, taken at 12:24 pm, depicts Katelan walking past Whittles Rolex Shop on Fishergate before turning left onto Birley Street. She was reported missing from the Todmorden region of Calderdale on Friday, May 26.

Katelan is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with long brown hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing black leggings, a black coat, a blue top, and white trainers.

Investigations have revealed that she departed from Todmorden bus station at 6:05 pm on Friday evening, boarding a bus headed to Burnley. This was prior to her sighting in Preston.

Detective Inspector Zaheer Abbas from Calderdale Police expressed growing concerns about Katelan’s welfare, as she has been missing for over a week. Both West Yorkshire and Lancashire Police are actively pursuing numerous leads in their search for her. They urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in locating Katelan.

Inspector Abbas stated, “A significant number of police enquiries remain ongoing here in West Yorkshire and in Lancashire, and we continue to urge anyone who can help us find Katelan to contact either West Yorkshire or Lancashire Police.” He further emphasised that anyone with pertinent information should immediately dial 999, citing West Yorkshire Police reference 1971 of May 26th.
