Grace Gordon from Horsforth emerged victorious in the exciting competition that had locals hunting for golden estate agent boards across Bradford and Leeds. The competition, organised by HOP, a prominent estate agent with offices in Leeds city centre and Horsforth, saw Grace scoop an impressive £1,500 as her well-deserved prize, and she’s already making plans for two thrilling trips.
HOP made the competition even more meaningful by partnering with UK charity Magic Breakfast. As a result, the estate agent has generously donated 2,000 nourishing breakfasts to underprivileged children, supporting the charity’s vital mission.
The challenge involved HOP distributing 200 of their famous purple boards along with 20 special golden boards throughout Bradford and Leeds. To discover these coveted golden boards, participants relied on clever clues posted on HOP’s social media pages. Once a golden board was found, competitors had to post a picture of it on Instagram or Facebook to enter the competition.
Grace displayed her keen knowledge of the area, finding an impressive total of nine golden boards. Overwhelmed with excitement, she shared, “This was a great competition that tested my knowledge of Leeds and Bradford, and I couldn’t believe it when I found out I’d won, I feel so lucky! We’re now planning to visit either Devon or Cornwall with the dogs and then maybe Majorca for the beautiful beaches and summer sun, and I can’t wait!”
Abi Noble, a representative from HOP, praised the competition’s popularity, saying, “This is the fifth time we’ve run this competition, which is always hugely popular, and this year we had almost 100 entries. Some of the boards are on main roads, but others are more discrete, so anyone playing will have their local knowledge tested and have to think strategically about the clues we give them.”
The winner was chosen at random from all the entries after the competition’s conclusion. Grace was ecstatic to receive her prize from HOP’s Horsforth office on New Road Side, which will be put towards a foreign city break or holiday of her choice.
In addition to celebrating Grace’s victory, HOP is delighted to establish a new partnership with Magic Breakfast. The charity works tirelessly to provide breakfasts to thousands of UK children every morning, particularly during times when many families struggle to provide food for their tables. HOP’s generous donation of 2,000 breakfasts, equivalent to 10 meals for each of the 200 boards used in the competition, will greatly benefit the schools that Magic Breakfast supports in West Yorkshire.
HOP, known for its residential sales, lettings, and investment services, as well as block management, continues to play an active role in engaging with the community through initiatives like the Golden Board Competition.
