In a thrilling announcement made on The One Show last night, it has been revealed that Fleur East, the talented singer and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, will be joining Janette Manrara as the new co-host for BBC’s popular show, Strictly It Takes Two.

Expressing her excitement about her new role, Fleur commented, “I’m so excited to officially join the Strictly family! I had such an amazing time on the show last year and so cannot wait to be talking to the celebs each week on It Takes Two. Being a Strictly fan, I’m excited to get all the behind-the-scenes exclusives on the show. I know exactly what the next lot of celebs will be going through. It’s an incredibly fun experience, but it’s tough! Hopefully, I can offer them a bit of support and a friendly face along the way. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to get started!”

This will be Janette Manrara’s third series as a presenter on Strictly It Takes Two, and fans will have the pleasure of seeing the dynamic duo in action from the very first episode of the series. Throughout the season, Fleur and Janette will also host multiple shows on their own, providing audiences with exclusive behind-the-scenes insights and offering invaluable advice to the latest cohort of contestants.

Eve Winstanley, the Executive Producer for BBC Studios and Strictly It Takes Two, expressed her delight at Fleur’s addition to the show, saying, “Fleur is a brilliant addition to the Strictly It Takes Two family. She has been in the contestants’ shoes, so she can offer the best advice, tips, and insight on what to expect. We can’t wait for audiences to see Janette and Fleur together; they’re a dynamic duo.”

Alex McLeod, the Commissioning Editor for BBC Daytime, also praised Fleur’s appointment, highlighting her popularity as a fan favorite during her time on Strictly Come Dancing. “Fleur rode the waves of the competition and made it to the final, so the latest contestants are in safe hands with her to offer reassurance and even more fun and excitement to It Takes Two,” McLeod commented.

Viewers will have the opportunity to catch the new series of Strictly It Takes Two starting in September at 6.30pm on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer. For those who missed the big reveal, Fleur’s announcement can be watched on BBC iPlayer along with The One Show.
