Dewsbury Rams have made an exciting addition to their squad as they announced the signing of Will Maher on loan from the Halifax Panthers. The 27-year-old prop has joined the Rams on an initial two-week deal, bringing a wealth of experience to the team.

Maher, who has already made eight appearances for the Halifax Panthers this season, is set to bolster Dewsbury’s pack with his strength and skills on the field. Prior to his stint at Halifax, Maher enjoyed a successful three-year spell in the Super League with Hull KR.

Having also played for notable clubs like Castleford Tigers, Batley Bulldogs, and Oxford, Maher’s versatility and adaptability make him a valuable asset for the Rams. His inclusion in the team comes at a crucial time, as Dewsbury faces the absence of Dale due to an injury sustained in Cornwall.

Head Coach Liam Finn expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition, stating, “We’ve had to move quickly knowing that we’ll be without Dale for a few weeks. Will is an experienced prop with a great attitude, and he’s looking to add to our already strong pack.”

The Rams’ supporters are eager to witness Maher’s debut and are hopeful that his presence will strengthen their chances in the upcoming matches. Dewsbury Rams are confident that this loan signing will prove instrumental in their pursuit of success this season.
