The police have issued a renewed appeal for information regarding the whereabouts of 26-year-old Zac Martin, as growing concerns for his well-being continue to mount. Zac was last seen leaving Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield on Thursday, 25 May, and has not been heard from since.

Zac, described as approximately six feet tall, was wearing a dark blue stripy top and dark shorts at the time of his disappearance. Reports indicate that he was seen later that same day at around 11:19 p.m., walking along Park Avenue and Margaret Street towards Outwood Park, still in the same attire.

In an effort to aid the search, today the police released CCTV footage of Zac walking along Bingham Place, just off Lingwell Gate Lane, at approximately 11:43 p.m. on the day he went missing. The footage revealed that Zac was walking with a limp. It is worth noting that the last CCTV sighting showed him carrying a bin bag, raising the possibility that he may have changed into different clothes.

Detective Inspector Stacey Atkinson of Wakefield CID expressed serious concerns for Zac’s welfare, stating, “We are seriously concerned for the welfare of Zac as he has now not been seen for some time. Zac is from Durham and he is not believed to have any contacts in the Wakefield area, so we believe he may be sleeping rough. His family and friends are concerned for his welfare, and it is unusual that he’s been out of contact for so long.”

The authorities are urging residents in the Outwood and Wakefield areas to assist in the search efforts. Detective Inspector Atkinson appealed, “We again appeal to residents living in the Outwood/Wakefield area to check any outbuildings in case he has been finding shelter in them. We would also ask that people keep an eye out in places such as community halls, shops, and places of worship in case he has tried to gain access to them.”

Anyone with information on Zac Martin’s whereabouts or who has seen him is urged to contact the police immediately by calling 999 and quoting log number 1829 of 25 May. The authorities are relying on the public’s assistance to help locate Zac and ensure his safety.

As the search intensifies, friends and family hold on to hope, eagerly awaiting any news that will lead to Zac’s safe return home.
