Get ready for an explosive summer as Celebrity MasterChef triumphantly returns to BBC One. This year’s lineup features a who’s who of comedy legends, award-winning musicians, presenters, entertainers, and stars from screen and stage. They will battle it out in the kitchen for the coveted Celebrity MasterChef 2023 trophy.

Produced by Shine TV, a Banijay UK company, the show will be hosted by the dynamic duo of John Torode and Gregg Wallace. Together, they will guide 20 famous faces through six weeks of gruelling challenges to determine who possesses the culinary prowess to claim the title of Celebrity MasterChef Champion.

The contenders vying to follow in the footsteps of last year’s winner, Lisa Snowdon, include a diverse range of talent. Among them are actor Amy Walsh, rapper and philanthropist Apl.de.Ap, drag artist Cheryl Hole, broadcaster and reality star Dani Dyer, and TV presenter and entertainer Dave Benson Phillips, to name just a few.

The competition will be fierce as these celebrities face a series of culinary trials designed to push them to their limits. Each heat week will feature a 60-minute episode where five new faces take on the infamous Under The Cloche challenge. They will then be tasked with creating a two-course dinner party feast, showcasing their culinary flair under pressure.

Throughout the series, the celebrities will face a variety of cookery challenges, including the classic Dinner Party Dish and Nostalgia Dish. However, there’s a thrilling twist this year with the introduction of the Celebrity Food Truck challenge, sure to add an exciting new dimension to the competition.

Katie Attwood, the MasterChef Series Editor, promises viewers a delectable feast for the eyes. She says, “This series is a total treat for Celebrity MasterChef fans – John and Gregg are in sizzling form, and the creative dishes that the celebrities deliver need to be seen to be believed. Expect everything and more!”

Sarah Clay, Commissioning Editor for the BBC, expresses her excitement for the new series. “It’s 2023, and Celebrity MasterChef is back with new challenges, new faces, but the familiar humour and expertise of our esteemed judges, John and Gregg. The series goes from strength to strength, and this one doesn’t disappoint.”

The competition will culminate in an epic showdown, where the best of the best will vie for the title of Celebrity MasterChef 2023. The winner will join the illustrious list of previous champions, including Lisa Snowdon, Kadeena Cox, and Greg Rutherford.
