Renowned British artist David Hockney’s extraordinary life and groundbreaking body of work will be explored in a captivating new series of films titled “Celebrating David Hockney” (working title), to be edited and presented by Melvyn Bragg. Produced by Directors Cut Productions, these programs are scheduled to be aired on Sky Arts, Freeview, and NOW later this year.

David Hockney’s artistic genius and unparalleled talent have propelled him to immense success since the early days of his career, establishing him as one of the most cherished living artists in Britain. The series “Celebrating David Hockney” (working title) will delve into the various eras and facets of Hockney’s work, featuring insightful interviews, archival footage, and a nostalgic exploration of his artistic journey.

“Celebrating David Hockney” (working title) was commissioned by Phil Edgar-Jones, Director of Sky Arts and Entertainment, under the guidance of Zai Bennett, Managing Director of Content for Sky UK and Ireland.
