The encounter, held at the picturesque grounds of Scholes, saw the home team chase down a challenging target of 173 runs set by Windhill & Daisy Hill.

Scholes’ Christian Jackson and Hamza Khan emerged as the heroes of the day, guiding their team to victory with their outstanding batting performances. Jackson showcased his skills with a well-compiled knock of 60 runs, while Khan provided valuable support with his contribution of 44 runs. South African all-rounder Jacques Porter continues to make waves in the Bradford Cricket League as he displayed his prowess with both bat and ball for Altofts Cricket Club. In a dominating display, Porter claimed impressive bowling figures of 7-38, demolishing the batting lineup of Gildersome & Farnley Hill who were bundled out for a mere 122 runs. Not content with his bowling heroics, Porter then unleashed his batting skills and hammered an unbeaten 67 runs.

Porter’s stellar performance was complemented by Dominic Richardson, who contributed a vital unbeaten 32 runs. The duo combined to form an unbroken second-wicket partnership of 107 runs, propelling Altofts to a resounding nine-wicket victory.

Spen Victoria faced disappointment for the second time in a row as they succumbed to a three-wicket loss against Great Preston. The match, held at Great Preston’s home ground, witnessed a fierce battle between the two teams. James Conlon continued his excellent form for Great Preston, scoring a crucial 51 runs. He received valuable support from Hayden Mortimer (36) and Ben Broxup (40) as they chased down Spen Victoria’s target of 201 runs.

East Leeds Cricket Club emerged victorious in their encounter against Crossbank Methodists, thanks to an exceptional bowling display by James Watling. Watling wreaked havoc with the ball, taking an impressive six wickets for a mere 22 runs. His remarkable bowling effort limited Crossbank Methodists to a modest total of 140 runs.

In the chase, Amraze Mahmood played a vital role with an unbeaten half-century, providing the necessary stability for East Leeds. Supported by Watling’s heroics, East Leeds comfortably achieved the target, securing a convincing five-wicket win over their opponents.
