The Kirklees District Crime Team is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man captured on CCTV footage following a burglary in Holmfirth. Authorities are urging the man to come forward, and are appealing to anyone who may be able to identify him, as investigations into the incident at a residence on Park Side, Scholes, continue. The burglary occurred on Friday, May 5, at approximately 10pm, when the suspects forcefully entered a large house.

The intruders’ plans were disrupted by a vigilant householder who was awakened by the commotion. Startled, the burglars quickly fled the scene without stealing anything of value.

The individual depicted in the released CCTV image is described as a white male in his early twenties, sporting short hair. The police believe he may hold vital information related to the case and would like to speak with him promptly.

Detective Inspector Sarah Thompson of the Kirklees District Crime Team emphasised the importance of public cooperation, stating, “We are urging the man shown in the image to come forward and assist us with our inquiries. Additionally, we would like to hear from anyone who recognises him or possesses any information that could aid our investigation.”
