The Roads Policing Unit is seeking the assistance of the public in their investigation of a severe collision involving two cars that occurred in Kirkburton. Authorities are urging witnesses or individuals with any related footage to come forward and provide valuable information regarding the incident, which took place on Paddock Road just before 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 24th.
The collision transpired when a southbound Mercedes SLK collided with a Honda Accord travelling in the opposite direction. The Roads Policing Unit is particularly interested in speaking with anyone who witnessed the incident or possesses video footage capturing the events leading up to the crash.
The driver of the Mercedes, a man in his 50s, sustained serious injuries during the collision and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital. Presently, he remains under medical care and is reported to be in a critical condition.
