Czajka Care Group, a family-owned and run organisation, has announced a significant multi-million-pound investment in its flagship Fairmount Park development, located in Nab Wood near Saltaire.
The move includes a major extension and improvements program for Brookfield Care Home, as well as the demolition of Fairmount Nursing Home to make way for eight stunning purpose-built retirement houses and apartments.
Having obtained planning permission in 2021, Czajka Care Group has been actively engaging with the residents and families at Fairmount Park and Fairmount Nursing Home to ensure seamless expansion plans.
Konrad Czajka, Managing Director of Czajka Care Group, emphasised the priority given to residents’ needs, stating, “We have been conducting regular meetings with our residents and their families, sharing our plans, seeking their input, and involving them in shaping our timelines. As part of this development, we will create eight new and modern rooms with first-class facilities at Brookfield Care Home, eagerly awaiting the arrival of new residents.”
Moreover, all the staff members from Fairmount Nursing Home will be offered roles within Czajka Care Group’s other care and nursing homes. The expansion project is also expected to generate at least a dozen new jobs, providing a welcome boost to the local economy.
Konrad further elaborated on the benefits of these plans, stating, “These exciting developments will help us address the tremendous demand for purpose-built, high-quality assisted living retirement homes in the area, while simultaneously offering invaluable residential care for 48 residents at our expanded Brookfield Care Home.”
Presently, Czajka Care Group’s existing purpose-built retirement homes at Fairmount Park, comprising 37 houses and apartments, as well as Currergate Mews, featuring 14 houses, have lengthy waiting lists. Some individuals have reserved properties years in advance of their intended move dates.
Konrad highlighted the popularity of their retirement developments, saying, “Our retirement houses and apartments have extensive waiting lists due to the favourable locations, property styles, leisure facilities, and available support.
“By delivering eight new homes for individuals aged 55 and above at Fairmount Park, we aim to address some of this demand and provide residents with individual homes that offer privacy and independence, coupled with the benefits of being part of a larger community with assisted support when needed. The crown green bowling and putting greens at Fairmount Park, along with our fantastic Clubhouse, of which many residents are members, add to the appeal.”
Situated within four acres of private gardens in a leafy area, the Clubhouse at Fairmount Park encompasses a bar, restaurant, private function suite, swimming pool, and gym, serving as the development’s focal point.
Czajka Care Group owns and operates Fairmount Nursing Home, Brookfield Care Home, and Staveley Birkleas Nursing Home in Nab Wood near Shipley, in addition to Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton, between Skipton and Keighley.
