Bradford Cathedral is gearing up for its upcoming Messy Cathedral event, centred around the theme of Pentecost, on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
Designed with families in mind, the free event will commence at 1:00pm and offer an array of engaging activities, games, and party food, alongside communal singing and prayer opportunities.
Revd Ned Lunn, Canon for Intercultural Mission and the Arts, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The festival of Pentecost marks the birth of the Christian Church, commemorating the day when God bestowed His Holy Spirit upon the first disciples.”
Lunn continued, “Bradford Cathedral will host a special birthday celebration, inviting everyone to relive that extraordinary day. We will come together to enjoy delicious food, participate in party games such as Pass The Parcel, craft party hats, and sing a song or two.”
Amidst the festivities, attendees will also take time to contemplate the significance of being part of the Church and how they can contribute to the advancement of God’s Kingdom in Bradford and beyond.
Messy Pentecost will take place at Bradford Cathedral on Saturday, May 27, 2023, from 1:00pm to 2:30pm. The event welcomes all interested individuals; however, due to limited capacity, advance booking is recommended. Reservations can be made via messy-pentecost.eventbrite.co.uk or by calling 01274 77 77 20 (Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 2:45pm).
