Social care providers from Kirklees Council and independent sectors are coming together to seek out the most caring, patient and fun-loving people to join the social care workforce.

Whatever your background or experience – whether you’ve worked in adult social care before, just starting out or you’re interested in a change of direction, they want to meet you!

The jobs fairs are organised and delivered by In2Care Kirklees and supported by the Kirklees Care Association.

The jobs fairs are being held in Huddersfield and Dewsbury:

Thursday 29 April at Huddersfield Town Hall, 10am – 3pm

Wednesday 31 May at Dewsbury Town Hall, 10am – 3pm

You will be able to explore roles in supported living, residential and domiciliary care as well as community specialist care where you could be supporting people with different mental, learning or physical disabilities. Staff already doing these roles will be at each event to share their experiences about working in social care.

With full, part-time and casual hours available and details of training opportunities and clear paths to career progression, there is something to suit most people.

There will also be support from the In2Care Kirklees team and Works Better Together. The teams will be around on the day to guide you through the application procedure and provide support and advice for the interview process. In some cases, interviews will be held on the day, and you could walk away with a new job.

People interested can go to one event or both from 10:00am to 3:00pm. There’s no need to book and it’s completely free.
